Assault charge ends in plea

PULLMAN – A man arrested in Pullman after allegedly attacking an officer who was giving him a ticket for littering has pled guilty to assault.

Brad Rost, 26, Lewiston, was booked unto Whitman County Jail June 7.

According to the police report, Pullman Officer Breauna Banks saw Rost throw a fountain drink at a moving car on Grand Ave. Officer Banks turned around in her police car and saw Rost throw a fast food bag and wrapper into the street.

Officer Banks contacted Rost and told him to pick up his trash or he would be ticketed for littering. According to the police report, he was verbally host...
