Fire claims home

ALBION – An early morning fire destroyed a home in Albion Monday morning. According to Albion Fire Chief Jeremy Peterson, crews responded at 1:50 a.m. to a single-wide trailer on G Street. Response came from Colfax, Albion, Diamond and Steptoe. Vehicles returned to the station about 5 a.m.

The single occupant of the home was able to escape. Cause of the fire is under investigation. The building is a complete loss, according to Chief Peterson....
