Weekend weather brings potential for hail, damaging wind

Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible Saturday following a day of high heat. Tonight's overnight lows are expected to stay in the 50s to 60s, bringing little cooling relief before Saturday with temperatures getting up in the 80s or 90s.

These "July-type temperatures" are being followed by cold air, said Steve Bodnar of the National Weather Service.
