Alleged drug activity lands seven in jail

OAKESDALE – Seven adults were booked into Whitman County Jail May 17 on a variety of drug charges after Whitman County deputies discovered methamphetamine, heroin and drug paraphernalia in an Oakesdale home.

On the evening of May 16, deputies from the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office responded to a possible drug overdose in the Tekoa area. After paramedics treated and released the victim, deputies obtained information about ongoing drug activity at a residence in Oakesdale.
