Colfax tops county census returns

Census return numbers at the end of April show Colfax with 66.1 percent returns which is above the county, state and national rates. Colfax is 39th for returns in the state.

Whitman County is ranked 19 for Census 2020 returns with 51 percent of the county having filled out and returned their census forms, online or by paper. Albion is still the second lowest for returns in the state with 3.9 percent.

At the mid-April tally, Lamont was ranked number one for returns in the state with 61 percent. It is still at that percentage and now ranked number 84.
