Murrow Symposium canceled

With concerns regarding the coronavirus, Washington State University has canceled its 45th Annual Murrow Symposium.

Corrie Wilder, chairperson on the symposium committee and director of marketing and communications for WSU Murrow College of Communication said in a press release that this decision wasn't made lightly and that they prioritize the health and safety of everyone who creates, supports and participates in the event.

This symposium is put on by WSU Murrow College of Communication. The keynote speaker for this year's event was going to be the Murrow Award Winner and NBC Nightly News Anchor Lester Holt.

Canceling the event will also postpone the Hall of Achievement induction ceremony, career fair, showcase and speaker sessions.

The symposium was set to run from March 22-24. The Murrow College of Communication plans to deliver aspects of the symposium and will announce those dates in the coming weeks.
