Yakama Tribal beats Oakesdale girls Oakesdale girls

The no. 3-seed Oakesdale girls took the floor against no.-6 Yakama Tribal Feb. 29 in the regionals and something was not right. And it stayed that way, Oakesdale losing 51-33.

The Nighthawks had 21 offensive rebounds in the game.

“That's a lot of opportunities,” said Oakesdale Coach Heidi Perry. “We had great looks at the basket. Everybody was cold.”

They shot 22 percent from the field while Yakama Tribal hit more than 50 percent.

“Our defense wasn't really up to the Oakesdale standard,” said Perry.

“Just like anything, just put it behind you. I think we'll bounce back,” Perry said....
