Voters back school levies

The nine school districts with levy propositions on the ballot Tuesday received strong approval from voters. Most of the propositions on the ballot were replacement levies for educational enrichment of operations programs now in place in the districts, but funded with expiring levies.

Total ballots counted on the first return was 6,203 or 27.18 percent of the 22,821 ballots mailed out at the start of the voting period.

Results posted Wednesday online after the election did not include returns from the Endicott and Tekoa School districts.
