WI Symphony will celebrate women, minority composers

Washington Idaho Symphony will celebrate women and minority composers at concerts entitled “Explorations!” Feb. 8 and Feb. 9. They will perform music that is often unnoticed because of the gender and/or race of the composer and celebrate the music written by the most under-represented sectors of the music industry.

The concerts will also feature soloist Giselle Hillyer on violin.

The Feb. 8 concert will start at 7:30 p.m. at Pullman High School. The Feb. 9 concert will start at 3 p.m. at Clarkston High School. General admission tickets are $25, student tickets are $15 (limited amount of free tickets for WSU, UI and LCSC students with ID), youth tickets 12-18 are $10 and children 12 and under are free with a paying adult.
