Colfax will have been without any hall suitable for theatrical entertainments for a period of two years on the 22 of next April, the anniversary of the big fire, when both opera houses, Burgunder & Hall’s on Mill street and the old opera house on Main street went up in flames. During all that time until the appearance of Katie Putnam at Pioneer hall last week not a single foreign company has played to a Colfax audience.
