Palouse Church hosts 'Evenings of Peace'

Palouse Federated Church will host three “Evenings of Peace” as part of the Advent season. On Dec. 5, Dec. 12 and Dec. 19 individuals are invited to visit the Holy Trinity Chapel on the corner of Bridge and Alder streets in Palouse for a time of reflection.

“In this season of Advent, we long for true peace,” said Tim Sievers, connection director. “Our hearts desire peace between nations, peace in our family, peace among friends and neighbors...peace with God. But, it’s hard to find in the midst of all the commercialism that has become Christmas in our culture.”

In the “Evenings of Peace,” the church has created a space to pause, even if just for a few minutes, to reflect, meditate and pray for peace in this season.

The chapel is open from 6 to 8 p.m. and attendees can come and go at their convenience.

There is no formal program.

Palouse Federated Church is an interdenominational Christian church born out of the coming together of the Methodist, Baptist and Presbyterian churches of Palouse.
