Piece Makers Quilt Club met at the home of Anne Lowe Dec. 4 for their annual Christmas party and gift exchange. The group gave Sharon Storment, one of the original group of quilters, a community quilt for a going-away gift.

After the exchange they went to Endicott Food Center where they enjoyed a Christmas luncheon put on by Jenny Meyer. Attending were Peggy Bryan, Alice Mackeleit, Fran Maki and Suzan Reite from LaCrosse; Gail Bilow, Lorena Mattly, Sharon Storment, Margaret Schmick, Colleen Winchester, Anne Lowe from Endicott, and Lorri McNeilly from Colfax.

Kathy Schlomer of Winona held her annual Christmas luncheon Dec. 6 at her home. People from Benge, St. John, Winona and Endicott attended. Kathy always makes loaves of lemon bread to send home with each guest. She also hosted LaCrosse women at a luncheon in her home on Dec. 4.

Christmas in Endicott was at the Elementary School Saturday, Dec. 7. The Community Club had been busy putting up Christmas lights around town, and they were lit before the event at the school. Fireworks were set off by Tony Anderson and his crew ushering in the arrival of Santa. Santa led the children and parents into the school cafeteria where the children visited with Santa and received goodie bags. Christmas cookies and cocoa were served to the group.
