Tax sale auction will go on-line

Whitman County Treasurer's annual sale of tax foreclosure properties will convert to an on-line format this year. The properties will be posted and a bid period will be opened from Dec. 13 until Dec. 16.

Foreclosure sales have been done in a bid format which has been conducted in the county commissioners' chambers at the courthouse.

Properties are listed for foreclosure when unpaid taxes extend back for three years. Six were listed.
