The city election on Tuesday last was made interesting by the contests for the several salaried offices, while at the same time the day passed off without any great excitement, and candidates who “rustled” did so without any demonstration. The vote cast was the heaviest ever polled in a Colfax municipal election, the total being 439, divided as follows: First ward, 147; second ward, 194; third ward, 98.
