Whitman Hospital receives Press Ganey excellence award

Whitman Hospital has been named a 2019 Guardian of Excellence Award winner by Press Ganey. The award recognizes top-performing health care organizations that have achieved the 95th percentile or above of performance in patient experience, employee engagement, physician engagement or clinical quality.

The Press Ganey award is a nationally-recognized symbol of achievement in health care. Presented annually, the award honors clients who consistently sustained performance in the top five percent of all Press Ganey clients for each reporting period during the course of one year.

Patrick T. Ryan, executive chairman of Press Ganey, extended congratulations.

Hospital CEO Hank Hanigan, said the award represents an important recognition from the industry's leader in measuring, understanding and improving the delivery of care.

Whitman Hospital and Medical Center is a 25-bed critical access hospital serving rural communities as a Public Hospital District covering 1,200 square miles in Whitman County.
