November 28, 2019

Pacific Northwest Farmers Cooperative has been named a finalist in the Good Food Foundation’s 2020 Good Food Awards. The awards recognize producers of “delicious sustainable fare” that are committed to environmental stewardship.

Three of PNW Co-op’s locally-grown legumes received top scores among 1,835 entries: Madeline French green lentils, Pardina brown lentils and Pedrosillano garbanzo beans. Winners will be announced Jan. 17.

PNW Co-op legumes are grown on family farms within a 60-mile radius of Pullman and Moscow. They are sold in bulk at stores throughout the Pacific Northwest, including Huckleberry’s, Moscow Food Co-op, PCC Community Markets and other stores listed at EatRealPNW.com.

They are distributed by LINC Foods and Charlie’s Produce to restaurants and universities throughout the Northwest.
