Daud's traffic circle drawing

Munir Daud, Pullman consulting engineer, last week sent drawings of traffic circle plans for both ends of Main Street in Colfax, with the north side circle shown above. Daud prepared the drawings years ago at the request of Michael Rizzitiello, former Colfax City administrator.

Daud in his cover letter predicted residents would object to the traffic circles, but predicted they would learn to love them if they were ever installed.

State designers included a traffic circle as one of the options for the intersection of Highways 26 and 195 at the north end, and the option was met with objections....
