All 14 branches of Whitman County Library are closed for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Palouse Roy Chatters Museum – 7:45 a.m. – Turkey Leg Fun Run – While your turkey roasts, you can run or walk to help raise money for new children’s books and activities for the Palouse Library.

Friday, Nov. 29

All 14 branches of Whitman County Library are closed for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Saturday, Nov. 30

Town of Tekoa – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Small Business Saturday – Shopping, Santa photos, craft vendors, tree lighting, hay rides, free movie and more. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., view the photo display of “An Old Fashioned Christmas” at the Tekoa Library or stop by the Tekoa Museum.

Monday, Dec. 2

Colton – 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. – Medicare help – Join SHIBA volunteers for free and impartial information.

Colton – 10:30 a.m. – Storytime – Bring your children for early learning fun.

Colfax – 2 to 3:30 p.m. – Caregiver support group – This is a safe and confidential place to share.

Garfield – 6 p.m. – Paint and sip – Step by step instructions for a winter-scape, complimentary goodies.

LaCrosse – 6:30 to 9 p.m. – Book Club – Find a new read and enjoy a great discussion.

Tuesday, Dec. 3

Colfax – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Drop-in tech help – Bring your device and your questions to our tech librarian.

Farmington & Rosalia – Storytime – Help your child develop early literacy skills and a love of books.

Tekoa – 3 to 4 p.m. – Cookies for teens – Meet up with friends and check in on what’s new at the library.

Palouse – 3:30 p.m. – STEAM fun – Grades 1 to 4 are invited for science, tech, engineering, art and math.

Wednesday, Dec. 4

Albion, Garfield, Oakesdale – Storytime – Early learning activities with stories, crafts, and music.

Garfield – 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Census 2020 Hiring Fair – Learn about a variety of positions, 855-562-2020.

Albion, LaCrosse, Malden, Rosalia – Afterschool fun – Call or visit us online for specific times and themes.

Tekoa – 3:10 p.m. – Kids craft & story – Make owls in preparation for the “HOOT” program.

Colfax – 5:30 to 7 p.m. – Tree of Lights – Friends of Hospice invites anyone who has lost a loved one to attend this reflective event. Call 509-332-4414 if interested in paying tribute to someone special.

Tekoa – 7 to 8:30 p.m. – Bunco night – Bunco is easy to learn and a great way to meet new people.

Thursday, Dec. 5

Colfax, LaCrosse, Tekoa – Storytime – Songs, games, stories, and crafts are all part of the fun at storytime.

Malden – 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. – Kid hangout – Calling all kids for computers, games, crafts and snacks.

Colfax – 3 to 7 p.m. – Winterfest – Hot cocoa, vote on the festival of trees and see Santa from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Tekoa Empire Theater – 3 p.m. – HOOT – Kids and families will be introduced to the incredible world of birds of prey and wonders of wildlife.

Rosalia – 6:30 p.m. – Starting a healthy backyard beehive – Learn how to successfully keep bees yourself.
