Colfax soils and land team wins state competition

Colfax FFA soils and land evaluation teams competed Nov. 6 at the state event in Benton County. Colfax's first team of Cora Shindler, Gunnar Aune, Ayden Miller, McCoy Nelson and Kolby Slate won the state championship, and team two of Mark Morgan, Perry Imler, Derek Repp, Dustin Broeckel and Riane Jones placed sixth. Three members were recognized among the top ten individuals. Aune was second, Nelson sixth and Morgan ninth.
