Honor quilts set for veterans

Quilts of Valor will be presented to 12 veterans Friday, Nov. 8, in a ceremony at Steptoe School. The quilts have been made by quilters in the Colfax area as part of the national Quilts of Valor program.

They have been coordinated by Margo Balzarini at the Palouse River Quilts shop in Colfax. Each quilt is custom designed and made.

Diana King said the veterans have all indicated they will be at Steptoe School for the observance. The veterans range in age from 60 to 90 and represent all branches of military service.
