Air stagnation advisory extended until Friday

Air stagnation advisory has been extended to remain in effect until Friday at noon. The original advisory went in effect last Friday, Nov. 1, and was supposed to conclude Tuesday, Nov. 5.

The majority of the region is included in this advisory.

Air stagnation, according to the National Weather Service, means there will be light winds, little to no precipitation, strong morning inversions and poor conditions for pollution dispersion. Due to the limited movement of an air mass in the region, pollution has the potential to increase to dangerous levels.
