Leo Stevick

A graveside service for Leo Stevick, 87, former Steptoe area resident, was Tuesday, Oct 29, at 1:30 p.m. in the Onecho Cemetery with the Rev. Lynn Nelson officiating. Stevick died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019, at his Regency apartment in Pullman.

Born June 21, 1932, in Colfax to Edward and Rhoda Mae McCully Stevick, he grew up on a farm in the Onecho area. He was active in 4H and was with a group that traveled by boxcar to the Chicago stockyards during the 1950s to show their prized steers.

He graduated from Colfax High School with the class of 1950, and later enlisted in the US Army where he served from 1954 to 1956. After receiving his honorable discharge, he worked on area farms and made his home near Steptoe. He also worked at the seed plant in Colfax at one time and for several years at Ace Hardware in Colfax.

He was an avid bowler and competed on many leagues in Colfax.

Surviving is a nephew, Bill Stevick of Colfax.
