Gary E. Nagle

A memorial service for Gary E. (Pedo) Nagle, 73, will be Nov. 2, 2019, at 2 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in Princeton, Idaho, with Pastor Kathy Kramer officiating. Nagle died at his home Oct. 16, 2019.

Born March 8, 1946, in Colfax to Vincent Rex and Helen Chambers Nagle, he attended Potlatch schools and graduated from the Potlatch High School in 1964.

He and Berneice Conger were married Oct. 23, 1964, at Potlatch, Idaho, and the couple made their home at Potlatch.

He started working at the Potlatch mill and worked there until it closed. He also worked as a police officer for Potlatch for eight years and as a security guard at the Palouse Empire Mall in Moscow from 1999 to 2009 when he retired.

Nagle joined the Potlatch Fire Department in 1970 and served as chief from 1980 until his death.

A member of the National Rifle Association, he enjoyed hunting, target practicing and riding four-wheelers.

Survivors include his wife, Berneice; one son, Dale Nagle (Tina) Potlatch; two sisters, Toni (Don) Ball, Potlatch, and Dwanna (Jerry) Andres Onaway, Idaho; one step-grandson, and one great-grandchild. Gary was preceded in death by one daughter, June Nagle.
