Bulldogs host Lancers after sweep

Colfax volleyball team will host the Liberty Lancers tonight in a showdown battle in the second round of SE volleyball. The Lancers topped Colfax in the first round of league play at Liberty.
Since that loss Colfax has booked wins in four league matches. They also won the Okanogan tournament by stopping Liberty in the title game.
Tuesday night both Asotin and the Bulldog players donned pink for cancer awareness month.
The Bulldogs booked a win in the first game, but had to battle back against a Panther lead in the second game and held on to a short lead in the third game for the sweep, 25-13, 25-20, 25-14.
The Bulldog took the 25-13 opener with Asher Cai rapping a kill for point 24 and Colfax coming out of a net scramble for game point.
In the second game, Asotin cracked an early lead and rolled it up to 14-9.
Sophomore Justice Brown went to the serving line for Colfax and the Bulldogs began to click. They cracked an 18-16 lead, but the Panthers same back to 18-18. Kierstyn York hit a kill to break another lead for the Bulldogs and she later went to the serving spot and rolled it to 24-20 with Sophie Klaveano tagging game point.
The last game also started close before Brown and York hit serve points and the score went to 24-14. Cai rapped a kill for match point.
York finished with 15 kills for Colfax, and Brown had four aces and 22 assists. Annalee Cox finished with 17 digs.
