Spokane & Inland line will be Rosalia RR Heritage Day topic

The third annual Railroad Heritage presentation followed by a hike on the Rosalia concrete arch bridges will be Saturday, Oct. 12.
Sponsored by the Whitman County Library’s Rosalia Branch, the presentation will be at the Rosalia Community Center at 1 p.m. Thomas Hillebrant, author of “Palouse Rails, Granger Railroads of the Inland Northwest,” will be guest speaker.
“For many years, citizens of Rosalia and other communities on the Palouse could catch a fast, clean, ‘interurban’ train into Spokane, and return the same day, for shopping or to conduct business,” Hillebrant said. �...
