Moscow man faces five charges

Five charges were filed Sept. 24 against Matthew D. Donald, 28, Moscow, who was booked into jail Sept 22. He was arrested in Pullman after officers responded in the early morning hours Sunday to an apartment on NW True Street in Pullman.
Donald was charged Sept. 24 with unlawful imprisonment, fourth-degree assault, residential burglary and two counts of malicious mischief.
According to the probable cause report, the alleged victim said she and the suspect formerly resided together in Moscow, but she had recently moved to the apartment in Pullman at the NW True Street address.
The alleged victim said they had an argument, and he restricted her from leaving the apartment. He was also charged with later entering the apartment.
The malicious mischief charges allege the suspect stomped on her cell phone and damaged a door in the apartment.
Bail for pre-trial release from jail was set at $100,000 surety or $10,000 cash.
