Bulldog girls place 2nd at Chewelah NE race

Colfax girls placed second with 61 team points Saturday in the NE cross country race at Chewelah. Kettle Falls had the first three finishers and took the team honors with 48 team points.

St. George’s took the boys race with a 66 team score.

Davenport boys placed second at 101, and Colfax place third at 104.

Kolby Slate of Colfax placed third in the boys race at 17:13. Kettle’s Easton Pomrankey again posted a big win on the boys side with 16:51 over the 5000-meter course.

Anna Cocking led Colfax girls at fifth place with a 21:38 behind the 20:21 win posted by Kettle’s Mya Edwards. Other finishers for the Bulldogs were Madison Dingman-14th at 22:57, Miya Ensley-15th at 22:59, Hannah Baerlocher-26th at 24:16, Jorga Slate-28th at 24:23, Kaitlyn Cornish-35th at 26:02, Emma Miller-36th at 26:05, Isablla Koyoma-51st at 28:21, Lulu Tarlach-57th at 29:27 and Madeline Tate-60th at 30:21.

Catherine Treis and Lauren Stubbs of SJE placed 11th and 12th. Treis clocked 22:30, and Stubbs clocked 22:47.

Ellie Tollett placed 20th for the Eagles at 23:38.

Arianna Casey of Tekoa/Rosalia placed 38th at 26:40.

Other finishers for the Bulldog boys were Joshua Huber-14th at 18:32, Dyamin Vanek-19th at 19:48, Kolby Sisk-30th at 19:25, Tyler Bober-38th at 19:51, Cole Baerlocher-42nd at 20:02, Ryan Henning-59th at 20:50; Jacob Jones-76th at 21:57, Jackson Perry-76th at 21:58, Kyle Dial-78th at 22:10 and Sam Kopp-79th 22:16.

Freshmen Erik Lazcano placed 23rd at 19:05 for Tekoa/Rosalia, and Joey Murray placed 55th at 20:41. Logan Marconi placed 74th at 21:42 for the Eagles.
