Port okays resolutions to allow sale of Pullman property

Port of Whitman commissioners last Thursday approved two resolutions which will clear the way for sale of 25 acres of port land to Aspen Heights, a Texas-based company which develops student housing units.

The resolutions called for change in the port's comprehensive plan to allow sale of the property and declaring the land surplus to clear the way for a sale.

The land is located south of the Pullman-Albion Road and west of Highway 27.

Harvey Lehmitz, owner of property in the area, opposed the resolutions.
