NOTICE OF A CONDITIONAL USE HEARING

The Port of Whitman County requests a conditional use permit for a marina dock replacement and rehabilitation at Boyer Park on the Snake River. The project site is located between the Snake River and Lower Granite Rd., in Section 19, Township 14 N, Range 43 E, W., M. The public is notified of the intent to issue a conditional use permit in front of the Board of Adjustment on October 10, 2019, at 7 PM in the Public Service Building, 1st floor auditorium, N. 310 Main St., Colfax, WA 99111. Interested persons may submit written comments by 5:00 PM on Thursday, October 10, 2019, regarding the proposed zoning action to the County Planning Office, P. O. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Whitman County Commissioners has completed and will place on file at the Office of the Whitman County Commissioners, Whitman County Courthouse, the Preliminary Budget for Fiscal Year 2020. The total amount of the budget for 2020 is approximately $65,000,000. The budget will be available October 7, 2019 and may be reviewed by any citizen who contacts the Clerk of the Board in the Commissioners' Office or by calling 397-5240. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that a public hearing for the purpose of adopting the budget for fiscal year 2020 will be held on Monday, October 7, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. and continued to Monday, October 21, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in the Commissioners' Chambers located in the Whitman County Courthouse at Colfax, Washington. Any taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against any part of the budget. Arrangements will be made to accommodate questions and provide responses to non-English speaking residents. Upon receiving 24 hours' advance notice, the county will make arrangements to reasonably accommodate the needs of special groups of citizens, including those who are physically disabled or otherwise impaired. PINE CREEK CONSERVATION DISTRICT

Elected Board Member Position Due Notice

The Pine Creek Conservation District is pleased to announce an opportunity to contribute to conservation and your community by serving on the Board of Supervisors. Supervisors are public officials who direct the activities of the Conservation District. Although they serve without compensation, they are eligible to be reimbursed for appropriate expenses. One position is open to fill the remainder of a term of an elected and recently retired board member. The term for this position ends June 30, 2022. At expiration of the term, candidate may continue by filing as a candidate and going through the regular district election process. Interested candidates must submit a completed Candidate Information Form to the district by the filing deadline of 5:00 PM, October 18, 2019. Candidates may be requested to be interviewed by the Board of Supervisors. For this position, candidate must be a registered voter, must reside within the District boundary and may be required to own land or operate a farm.
