Oakesdale netters defeat Eagles

Oakesdale defeated St. John/Endicott/LaCrosse in a sweep Tuesday in SE league competition 25-15, 25-16 and 25- 15.

Gina Anderson hit 20 kills for the Nighthawks, and Lizzy Perry hit five aces.

Ashlynn Archer led the Eagles with 11 kills and 10 digs. Brooklyn Bailey and Roxy Dickerson each tagged an ace for the Eagles. Dickerson was credited with 16 assist.

Oakesdale played in a tournament Saturday at the Yakima’s SunDome.

They booked a 2-1 in pool play with a win over College Place 25-13, 25-22, a win over Stevenson 25-4, 25-9 and a loss to Mary Walker 4-25, 9-25.

In the playoffs they lost to Goldendale in three, 25-27, 25-21 and 8-13.

They topped Wahluke 25-13 and 25-16.
