Legion honors Ariel Medeiros

Ariel Medeiros, representative of the Center for Civic Engagement at WSU, was presented a certificate and bouquet of flowers for her support of the Garfield Food Pantry at the American Legion Washington Department District 7 fall meeting Sept. 13.
Ariel's certificate reads: "G. Raymond McCown American Legion Post #24 Present this Certificate of Appreciation to Ariel Medeiros for her contributions to the Ladow Food Pantry in Garfield Washington. Her dedication in supporting our mission to help those within our communities who suffer from food insecurity, is to be commended. Her tireless hours of assistance on a monthly basis has made her part of our Legion Family. Ariel has brought dozens of Washington State University students to work in our monthly commodities, affording them an opportunity to make a difference to those in need."
Many dignitaries, including Robert Clark, the Department of Washington Commander, and all of the State of Washington American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary officers were in attendance.
This was the organization's 100th anniversary dinner for Post 24.
