Ellensburg breakaway roper takes top purse at fair rodeo

Annie Minor of Ellensburg was the top event money winner for the Palouse Empire Rodeo with a time of 2.77 in breakaway roping for a $1,204 first-place purse. Dusti Crenshaw of Touchet finished at 2.8 for second place and $996.
Number-two purse winner was Preston Peterson of Hermiston with a 9.82 in tie down roping for a $1,018 purse, and number three was Italy Jo Sheehan of Shoshone, Idaho, who clocked 17.779 in barrel racing to claim the $1,007 prize.
The Pro-West report noted none of the entrants in bull riding marked a qualified time during the three rodeo go-rounds.
