Genealogical Society to host mini-seminar

Whitman County Genealogical Society will host a free fall mini-seminar at Bishop Place Independent Living Social Room Sept. 14 from 9 to 11:45 a.m.

Dan Owens from Neill Public Library in Pullman will present “Using the Public Library for Genealogy and Local History.”

It will include information about resources in the library’s Palouse Heritage Collection.

In the second session, Dulce Kersting-Lark from Latah County Historical Society will present, “Archival Power: Demonstrating the Importance of Primary Sources to Stakeholders and the Public.”

His talk will include information on working with original, archival source materials and their importance to the public.

Bishop Place is at 811 SE Klemgard Ave. in Pullman.
