Empire slates LA stage duo

Michael Glatzmaier and Deece Casillas will perform Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. at Tekoa Empire Theatre. Glatzmaier has been performing his improvised musical stand-up act across the U.S. and Canada for years. In his act, suggestions are taken from the audience and turned into improvised songs on the spot.

A stand-up comic and writer from Los Angeles, Casillas has been making his way across the Northwest.

Admission will be $12 at the box office, cash only. The show is for mature audiences, 18 and older only.

Cup O’ Joe books McBeath

Scott McBeath, owner of Pullman’s Three Forks Bike and Brew in Pullman, will speak about his new business at the next Cup O’ Joe on the Palouse session at Columbia Bank, 795 SE Bishop Blvd. in Pullman Wednesday, Sept. 4, from 10 to 11 a.m.

Opened in October last year, Three Forks Bike & Brew incorporates coffee, food, beer and wine, as a place of destination for bicyclists. McBeath offers minor bike adjustments and bike education classes. McBeath will discuss the future goals and visions of the business as well as how community partnerships with schools and other entities assist in the growth of providing safe cycling programs .

Scott and his family moved to the Palouse 12 years ago from Seattle and he has recently obtained his LCI certificate from the League of American Bicycles.

Duncan, Trey James, born Aug. 19, 2019, at seven pounds, 15 ounces, to Deron and Jenna Duncan, Colfax. Maternal grandparents are John and Loretta Duncan, Nine Mile Falls, Wash., and Debbie Duncan, Spokane. Maternal grandparents are Bob and Terri Vuletich, Colfax. Baby joins brothers Grant, 5, and Camden, 3.

Unger-Rawson, Paisleigh Rae, born Aug. 22, 2019, at five pounds, nine ounces, to Amanda Unger, Colfax, and Zach Rawson, Puyallup. Paternal grandparents are Debbie and Gary Rawson, Puyallup. Maternal grandparents are Christa and Tyrone Unger, Colfax.
