Receiver E. McNeill, of the O. R. & N. railway company, accompanied by his general freight agent, B. Campbell, arrived in Colfax by special train from Portland at 8 o’clock Wednesday evening, and held two hours’ consultation with members of the Chamber of Commerce in reference to a reduction of grain rates from the Palouse country to Portland.
