W-I Symphony set to fill orchestra vacancies

Washington Idaho Symphony will be filling orchestra vacancies for the 2019-2020 season. Violin, viola, principal cello, principal bass, flute, principal clarinet, second bassoon and percussion chairs are open.

Auditions will be Saturday, Aug. 31, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Gladish Community and Cultural Center in the Richard Domey Auditorium.

Candidates will be asked to perform a portion of a solo piece selected by them, a musical excerpt provided ahead of time and a sight-reading excerpt.

The symphony performs five concerts each season. Performance venues include Pullman and the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley.
