James Ballou

James Patrick Ballou, 57, died Aug. 8, 2019, at Deaconess Hospital from an unanticipated event following heart surgery.

A celebration of life will be Aug. 24 at the city park in Rosalia at noon.

Born in Spokane to Clint and Josie Ballou, he attended local schools and furthered his education by learning brick masonry. He later operated a painting business for many years.

He enjoyed reading, fishing, camping, animals, and he believed in the old adage, "One man's junk is another man's treasure."

He is survived by his children in Spokane, Erika Clark, Caitlin Ballou, Nathaniel Ballou, and by Hannah Ballou of Rosalia; siblings Michelle Ballou, Christie Keetch, Colleen Daniels, John Ballou and Suzette Grear.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 18 years, Jenice Coker.
