Route 26 vintage market opens store in Colfax

The twice-per-year Route 26 vintage market at the fairground now has a storefront.

Open since Aug. 1, in Colfax, Route 26 sells antiques at the former Buri Medical Equipment store Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for summer hours.

Fall and winter may be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"We haven't quite made that decision yet," said Tami Schwartz, one of three partners in Route 26, who first worked in antiques together at the former Whitman Mall, which closed in 2005, next door to the new store.

Whitman Mall was a co-op of antique dealers which Schwartz ran from 1997 until it closed. Nanc...
