Jail furlough violation

Donald Rohwer, 36, Kennewick, was ordered to serve an additional 60 days in jail Friday morning in superior court after being found in contempt of court for using drugs while on furlough release from the jail. Rohwer had been allowed a 72-hour release from jail to undergo extensive dental work.

According to the jailer's report, he returned from the furlough one hour late and admitted subsequent drug tests would show he had used methamphetamine and marijuana while on release.

Jailers placed Rohwer on 35 days of lockdown after he returned from the furlough.
