Two earn Eagle Scout honors

August 8, 2019

A Eagle court of honor for Carson Cloaninger, left, and Connor Johnson, right, was conducedt by Colfax Troop 595 July 28 at the United Methodist Church in Colfax. Cloaninger finished requirements for the Eagle rank this year, and Johnson completed requirements last year. He elected to delay his court of honor for a year and have a joint ceremony with Cloaninger. Cloaninger is the son of Dick and Lana Cloaninger, and Johnson is the son of Aaron and Helena Johnson. Both led Eagle projects to make benches with Cloaninger's project at Lookout Park, and Johnson's at the Food Pantry. Johnson will begin his second year of studies at Washington State University, and Cloaninger will start studies at Columbia Basin College. Scoutmaster Mark Clinton stands between the two Eagles.
