Tough as Nails plans activity kits project

The Tough as Nails, the three sisters from Rosalia, is collecting origami cranes and paper to create 1,000 activity kits for hospitalized children. Each activity kit will include one folded crane, five sheets of paper and instructions for folding origami cranes.

The kits will be donated to local hospitals for children admitted with serious and/or life-threatening illnesses.

Camie, Leslie and Maicy Bothman have formed Tough as Nails.

In Whitman County, donations can be dropped off at a local library. There is no deadline.

The vision is to include others in as much of the process as possible from creating kit ideas through contests, hands on involvement (such as folding and sending origami cranes to include in kits), kit donations through supplies or financially, and kit assembly and time donations.

Tough as Nails will be at Lucky Vintage Show in Vinegar Flats, Spokane, Sept. 28. to promote the crane kits, business and mission.
