Deer impales itself on fence

Colfax Police Officer Cory Alcantar Thursday morning, July 25, removed a dead deer which had apparently impaled itself while attempting to leap a metal fence at a residence on the west side of the 900 block of S. Main the night before. Alcantar was assisted by members of the public works department in removing the dead deer which appeared to have reached full size.

He said the deer also had one of its feet caught in the fence.
