Summer reading deadline Aug. 16

Summer reading programs for children across Whitman County are in full swing. Reading logs must be returned by Aug. 16 to receive a free book, pizza certificate and a chance at a number of grand prizes including STEM baskets from Schweitzer Engineering and wristbands for free admission to the Palouse Empire Fair.

SEL staffers recently visited a summer program in the Colfax Library to drop off a prize basket to be given at every branch location. Summer reading programs are made possible by support from local donors and Friends of the Library....
