Dahmen shows exhibit on body

A collection of works exploring strengths and frailties of the body by Moscow artist Jennifer Rod will be on exhibit at Dahmen Barn in Uniontown from now until July 28. A painter, sculptor and teacher who does commissions and shows extensively in the Pacific Northwest region, Rod has been awarded residencies and recognition for her paintings and steel sculptures.

Playing with color, shape and composition in a variety of mediums is her joy and she helps children do that through the U of I Prichard Gallery After School Art Program.

Kids program returns to Pullman market

Pullman Farmers Market will return of Kids Eating Right, Nutrition and Exercise for Life (KERNAL) program which allows children between five to 12 to participate in a healthy lifestyle activity and receive a two dollar incentive upon completion of that activity. The two dollars may be spent on eligible products like fruits, vegetables, and edible plants.

The KERNAL program is sponsored by the Moscow Food Co-op, with additional support provided by Anytime Fitness in Pullman.

Community Nights have returned on the second Wednesday of each month. This month’s recipient will be market entertainment sponsor Washington State Employees Credit Union (WSECU).

The month’s music line-up includes The Range Benders on July 10, and Calyn B. on ukulele July 31.

Artist session set at Neill

Friends of Neill Public Library invite youths between 11 and 19 to an “Anime Your Way” workshop with renowned artist Carlos Nieto III July 15, from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. in the library’s Hecht Meeting Room. He will teach how to create and modify an anime character from scratch. All supplies will be provided.

Pre-registration is not required.

Peterson, Charlie Kyle Eugene, born July 5, at eight pounds, 10 ounces, to Jeremy and Calista Peterson, Pullman. Paternal grandparents are Diane and Jerry Peterson, Pullman. Maternal grandparents are Diane Hartman, Pullman, and Aaron Hartman, Lamont. Baby joins sisters Emmalynn and Annabell and brothers Derek and William.
