New hotel plans for Pullman

Pullman may be the home of another hotel, a Hampton Inn. A Western Washington architecture firm submitted a State Environmental Policy Act application earlier this month for the hotel, according to Kevin Gardes, Pullman public works director.

The plans propose a hotel to be constructed on Bishop Boulevard, next to the Holiday Inn Express.

Gardes said the SEPA process involves reviewing the site and determining if the construction will damage the property environmentally. The process usually takes 30 days to complete.

The hotel is planned to have 110 rooms with four stories, and 143 spaces for a parking lot, he said.

A different developer tried to bring a Hampton Inn to Pullman about 10 years ago, but the project was never completed.
