Rev. Kanake will serve St. John, Colfax UMC churches

The Rev. Dr. Jacob Kanake has been appointed to serve the United Methodist Churches in Colfax and St. John. He will begin service to the two churches beginning July 1, according to a letter from the Rev. Gregg Sealey, Inland District superintendent of the church, to the staff-parrish relations chairs of both churches.

Pastor Kanake will replace the Rev. Ed Hamshar, who has served the Colfax and St. John churches for the past four years. He plans to retire after serving the church for 25 years.
