Farmington mayor, clerk resign offices

Farmington mayor Dave Baker has resigned, effective May 31, citing a new employment schedule. A former councilman, he took over the mayor’s job in 2015 after the resignation of James Woomack.

Clerk/Treasurer Barb Dial/Flomer also submitted her resignation, accepted by the mayor, to also take effect May 31.

Mayor Pro-Tem Mark Hellinger will lead the council until they appoint a new mayor to complete Baker’s term.
