Scout project adds planters at Rosalia

Samuel Pritchett of Rosalia Boy Scout Troop 5588 completed his Eagle Scout project on May 10. For his project, Samuel built 12 new concrete flower planters for the Town of Rosalia and placed them throughout the downtown corridor on sidewalks.

The project took Samuel and his volunteers more than 250 hours at a cost of $1,100 over four months. Costs were covered by donations from individuals and businesses. The Eagle Scout Service Project is the final step in a Boy Scout's career and teaches them to plan, organize, execute and follow through on a project to better their community.
