Tekoa allows dog to stay

A dog-bite incident in Tekoa in April has been addressed by the city council May 6, in a 5-2 vote to allow the owner to keep the animal in town with certain conditions.

City council representatives John Guidice and Roy Schulz voted no.

The owner will be required to buy dangerous dog insurance, display a “Beware of Dog” sign at the home, muzzle the dog when out of the yard, build a second fence inside the yard and go through further training.
