Lillian Fulton

Lillian Margaret Fulton of Plaza, Wash., passed away peacefully in her home on April 5th at the ripe age of 88.

She was born in September of 1930 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada to Edward and Verna (Mickelberry) Jacobson. During high school summers, she earned a bookkeeping certificate from Kinman Business School in Spokane, Wash. She graduated in 1949 from Benton City High School in Benton City, Wash.

She married Norman Meier in 1949 which whom she had her first four children with. Norman passed in 1957. Years later, she met Donald "Jerry" Fulton whom she married in 1965 and she had her youngest son. Jerry passed in 2006.

She enjoyed being a home maker, gardener, feeding birds, shopping and socializing with her friends, children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Rosalia Garden Club and Rosalia Senior Citizens. She utilized her bookkeeping skills at Plaza Grange Supply, Swift Farm Supply and Jerry's Farm Supply.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents, both of her husbands, her brother and her sister. She is survived by her children: Norman "Dale" (Becky) Meier, Linda Meier (Jack) Green, Debra Meier (Wendell) Blum, Janet Meier (Warren) Strohl and Doug (Laura) Fulton. Her grandchildren: Carrie Meier, Jared Meier, Lindsay Meier, Bree Fulton and Hunter Fulton; her nieces, nephews and cousins. Also, her black cat, Salem, and her many furry friends.

Lillian had a beautiful, kind soul. We will miss her every day. A special thanks goes to Laura who provided in-home care to Lillian for many years before her passing.
